Grant was born in Billings, Montana and raised in Casper, Wyoming. He received a degree in rangeland ecology and watershed management with a minor in environment and natural resources from the University of Wyoming in 2002. He is a 2007 graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law, where he wrote for the Wyoming Law Review and was twice elected as the College of Law Senator for the University’s student body government. After clerking with The Spence Law Firm during law school, Grant became an associate in 2007.
Since joining the firm, Grant has been active in civil rights, wrongful death, and personal injury cases. Grant was part of the Spence team of trial lawyers that won a multi-million dollar verdict in a civil rights trial in Texas involving police brutality, excessive force, wrongful use of a Taser, and wrongful death. The jury returned a $3,000,000 verdict. Currently, Grant is litigating oil field injury and death cases, trucking accident cases, mining accident cases, medical malpractice cases, defamation cases, forklift injury and death cases, and premises liability cases.
