Personal Biography: Chuck Peterson grew up in Montana and settled in Boise, Idaho after leaving the Army in 1985 with trial experience in over a hundred courts-martial. He was a Distinguished Military Graduate at Gonzaga University, where he obtained his degree in psychology. He has been married to his wife Sue since 1976, and they have two children; Jordan and Courtney.
Mr. Peterson's association with the firm started in 1992 when he served as co-counsel with Gerry Spence in the Ruby Ridge case. After winning the acquittal of their client on charges that he had murdered a federal marshal, they combined to win a civil settlement on behalf of Randy Weaver and his children for the wrongful death of Vicki and Sammie Weaver. He has served as co-counsel on other cases with the firm, including the successful defense of an insurance broker charged with racketeering; and civil cases involving wrongful death and medical malpractice. His current caseload includes a products liability case against a major automobile company, and the defense of a Saudi national charged with providing material support to terrorists in violation of federal law. Mr. Peterson has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
