Passionate Advocacy, Strategic Negotiation, and the Skill to Win at Trial.

Bryan understands that obtaining winning results for his clients requires mastery of all of these skills.

To that end, Bryan devotes time and energy honing his skills and teaching other lawyers to be better champions as well. Bryan graduated first in his class at the University of Wyoming College of Law while serving as an editor of the law review and earning membership in the Order of the Coif, a national scholastic honor society. He graduated from Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College in 1999 and has served as an invited staff member at the college since his graduation - offering thorough and innovative training for lawyers nationwide. Bryan also obtained a graduate certificate in conflict resolution following a year-long program at the University of Utah to polish his negotiation and mediation skills. He has been an invited speaker and teacher of trial skills across the country.

Focusing on these skills has allowed Bryan to represent clients in a variety of cases. Bryan has successfully fought for and won substantial settlements and jury verdicts in cases involving catastrophic injury, dangerous railroad crossings, civil rights, injuries to children, workplace accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and products liability. He has also handled a number of complicated commercial and business litigation cases, including those that involved copyright infringement, securities, intellectual property rights, and qui tam or whistleblower cases that fall under the False Claims Act.

Hard Work Leads to Results

Knowledge and skill are critical, but determination, dedication and drive make all the difference. Bryan's dedication to hard work and his tenacity have helped him obtain some of the largest settlements in the western United States and a number of record-breaking verdicts on behalf of his clients including: a record setting $28.5M verdict in a Wyoming carbon monoxide poisoning case (with partner Tyson Logan); a $13.6M verdict in Iowa for a young man who suffered severe, life-altering injuries in an automobile accident with a police officer (with partner Mel Orchard); a $5.19M damages verdict on behalf of an oil field worker who suffered severe injuries on the job (resulting in a $2.3M judgment); a record setting $10.16M damages verdict in a medical malpractice case (with partner Emily Rankin); a $32M legal and accounting malpractice settlement; a $10M wrongful death settlement; a $13M medical malpractice settlement; and many other six and seven figure settlements resulting in well more than $100M in verdicts and settlements for his clients.

Ultimately, the clients matter most. Bryan's strong results are a byproduct of his ultimate goal: to provide the best possible representation to the people who need it most.
