Lydia Hanson Associate

Originally from the Tetons, Lydia joined the Spence Law Firm in 2022 after completing a clerkship with the honorable Judge Carman in the Wyoming Federal District Court in Yellowstone National Park. She is very enthused to be able to lend her skills to assisting people in difficult times in their life when a helping hand is most needed.

Lydia received her undergraduate degree from the University of Idaho in International Studies and French, with a minor in History. During the course of her undergraduate, she had the opportunity to live abroad in Belgium, Indonesia, and Togo. After a couple of years of teaching skiing and running the daycare at Grand Targhee Resort, she went to law school at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC.

While in law school, Lydia was president of the Animal Law Society, was the Symposium Editor for the Sustainable Development Law and Policy Brief, and started a community garden on campus. She completed internships with Accountability Counsel, the Spence Law Firm, and Perkins Coie. She is also completing a Master’s Degree in Global Environmental Policy.
