Accomplished Summer Interns Join The Spence Law Firm, LLC

Apr 12, 2019

Each summer, our firm welcomes students from the University of Wyoming College of Law into The Spence Law Firm Family for a summer internship in Jackson. We are proud to announce that our four interns for this year, Adam Carman, Meri Heneage, Adelaide Myers, and Grant Rogers are achieving excellence at every step, and we're excited for them to make their way to Jackson soon!

All four interns were recently appointed to serve on the 2019–2020 Editorial Board of the Wyoming Law Review. Appointment to the Law Review's Board is one of the highest honors conferred by the University of Wyoming College of Law, and is based on high scholarship and excellence in writing. In addition to serving on the Board, Meri's article, which advocates for a wrongful conviction compensation statute in Wyoming, will published in the upcoming edition of the Journal.

Meri is also the 2019 Judge Clarence A. Brimmer Scholar, which is a substantial scholarship awarded to one second-year student who has demonstrated a commitment to excellence while in law school.

Outside of the classroom, our interns are succeeding in competitions and practical experiences. Adelaide was this year's Top Ten Oralist in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition, and Adam represented the College of Law at the National Energy Law Negotiation Competition. While attending to a regular class schedule, Grant is also completing an internship at the U.S. Department of Justice in Denver.

Our firm is also pleased to announce that Emily Madden, a 2018 Spence Law Firm Intern, will be joining our firm as an associate in 2020. Emily will graduate with honors in May from the College of Law, and will then complete a clerkship with the Honorable Kelly Rankin in the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming.

At The Spence Law Firm, the skill of our interns is another reason we are recognized as a preeminent national law firm. We're excited by the success that are interns have already experienced, and we look forward to having them on our team in just a few weeks!
